Terms &
health policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

These terms apply when you book a class, buy a pass or start a membership with Sola. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which covers your personal data. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who we are

Sola Movement Studio is a small-group movement studio at 31 Goldsmith Road, Leyton, London E10 5EZ, operated as a sole trader business trading as "Sola Movement Studio".

Questions about anything on this page: info@solaspace.co.uk.

Your health

This is the part that matters most, and it is why we ask you to confirm it every time you buy.

When you book, you confirm that you are in good enough health to take part in physical exercise, and that nothing about your health makes training unsafe for you. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for training within your own limits.

You agree to tell your instructor before class about anything that affects how you should train — an injury, a recent operation, a health condition, pregnancy, or medication that affects exercise. You do not have to tell us anything you would rather not; but if you do not tell us, we cannot adapt the session for you.

If something changes about your health after you join, tell us. If you feel unwell, dizzy or in pain during a class, stop and tell the instructor immediately.

Our instructors coach movement. They are not doctors or physiotherapists, and nothing said in a class is medical advice. If you are unsure whether exercise is safe for you, speak to your GP before you book.

Age

You need to be 16 or over to book a class or hold a membership with us.

Booking a class

• Every class has 8 places. That is the whole point of the studio, and we do not add a ninth.
• Classes open for booking 14 days ahead, and 48 hours earlier if you are on a membership.
• A class costs one credit from your pass or membership.
• If a class is full you can join the waitlist. Joining holds a credit in the same way booking does, and you are moved into the class automatically if a place comes free.

Cancelling a class

• Cancel more than 12 hours before a class starts and your credit goes straight back.
• Cancel inside 12 hours and the credit is used. The same applies if you do not turn up.
• Leaving a waitlist works the same way, and on the same 12 hour window.

The window is not us being strict for its own sake. With eight places, a late cancellation is usually a place nobody else can take.

Passes and credits

A pass is a number of credits with a date on it. Credits are used one per class, and expire on the date shown on your pass. You can always see it under Credits in the booking app.

• Drop-in — 1 class, valid 60 days.
• 5 classes — valid 60 days.
• 10 classes — valid 90 days.
• 2 weeks unlimited — our introductory offer, for your first visit only, valid 14 days from purchase.

Credits are personal to you and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Memberships

Memberships are billed monthly by card until you cancel them.

• 4, 6 or 8 classes a month, or Unlimited, which is as many as you like.
• Unused class credits roll over for one month, then expire.
• Unlimited includes one guest pass per billing period, so you can bring somebody with you.
• Every membership has a two month minimum term from the day you start. You can still pause within it.

Pausing. You can pause a membership from your account for a minimum of seven days. Billing pauses with it and picks up on the date you choose.

Cancelling. Cancel from your account at any time, subject to any minimum term. Your membership runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep every class in it — we do not cut you off on the day you cancel.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

If we change the price of a membership you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you would rather not continue at the new price.

If we cancel a class

Occasionally we have to cancel — illness, a problem with the building, weather. If we cancel a class you are booked into, your credit goes back automatically and we will let you know as soon as we can.

Refunds

Passes and memberships are non-refundable once you have started using them, and credits have no cash value. This does not affect your legal rights: if something has gone wrong, or you think you have been charged in error, email us and we will put it right.

In the studio

• Doors open ten minutes before class. If you are new, come at the early end so we can meet you properly.
• We may not be able to let you in once a class has started, for your safety as much as everyone else's.
• Please treat the space, the equipment and each other well. We may ask somebody to leave, without a refund, if their behaviour puts other people at risk or makes the studio unpleasant to be in.
• Bring your belongings into the studio. We cannot take responsibility for anything left elsewhere.

Photographs

Now and then we take photographs or short video in class, for our own website and social media. We will tell you when we are about to, and you can say no — at the time or afterwards. Say no and we will either keep you out of frame or not use the shot. You never have to give a reason.

If something of you is already up and you would rather it was not, email us and we will take it down.

Please ask before photographing anyone else in the studio. Not everybody wants to be on somebody's feed, particularly while they are learning something new.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Beyond that, we are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or that arises because you did not tell us something about your health that we needed to know.

Changes to these terms

We will update this page if anything changes about how booking, passes or memberships work, and change the date at the top when we do.
